Great hiking to some nice lookouts.
A pretty location in NH that is off the beaten path and nowhere near as popular (or crowded) as some of NH's other well-known Notches (Franconia, Crawford, and Pinkham). There are three waterfalls to checkout, the historic hotel, and a few trails to hike to make a day of it with plenty of other vista's, waterfalls, and lakes nearby for exploring or camping at.
DIXVILLE NOTCH: There are many trails accessible in Dixville Notch that will take you to popular places like Huntington Falls, Table Rock, Sanguinary Summit, Panorama Lean-to, The Three Brothers Trail, Dixville Peak, etc... Trailheads are located at the BALSAMS entrance, The Wayside Picnic Area, and at the Baby Flume.
Dixville Notch State Park spans 127 acres. Within the park is a scenic gorge and waterfalls on two mountain brooks. Hiking trails lead to Table Rock and nearby mountains.
The trails and picnic areas are a good place for the whole family.
Beautiful spot in the Great North Woods. The moose hut is my favorite place to view moose
